Founders > Lynda Maddox
Dr. Maddox is a marketing and advertising professor at The George Washington
University and an active consultant. Her expertise includes marketing,
advertising, consumer behavior, consumer law, and focus group moderation
and training.
She teaches various courses, including Principles of Marketing, Buyer
Behavior, several in Advertising, a series of workshops on effective oral
communication in business, and a focus group moderators workshop.
Her success as a teacher stems from her strong ties to the real
world.
Lynda Maddox served as a consultant to clients including a big-three
automaker, a European automaker, a real estate development firm, a direct
marketer in the drug, and cosmetics field, several attorneys, and numerous
other national and local firms. For these clients, Dr. Maddox has conducted
advertising and marketing research, including qualitative and quantitative
studies
Dr. Maddox is a past chair of the academic division of the American Advertising
Federation and serves on the executive committee. She is also a member
of the American Marketing Association and the American Academy of Advertising.
Lynda has published in numerous professional and scholarly journals,
including The Journal of Advertising Research, The Journal of
Pharmaceutical Marketing, Marketing News, Journalism Quarterly,
Business Journal, and Current Issues and Research in Advertising.
She has appeared on CNN, CNNfn, Good Morning America,
Fox Morning News, and on Channel 8 News talking about her
expertise in marketing and advertising. Dr. Maddox was also been quoted
in the USA Today, The Christian Science Monitor, Investors
Business Daily, The Washington Post and other state and local
publications.
Dr. Maddox is listed in Who's Who in Advertising, and Who's Who in the
East. She holds a bachelor's and master's degree from The Pennsylvania
State University and a doctorate from Southern Illinois University.
